The Alarm.com ADC-V700X outdoor day/night IP camera is PoE-compatible, allowing it to be powered by the Ethernet cable if connected to the ADC-POE-INJ power-over-ethernet (PoE) injector installed at the network router. When installing the ADC-V700X with this PoE injector, the camera's power socket wire and AC power adapter are not used, since it derives power from its Ethernet connection to the PoE power injector instead.
